Sins Punished Before Paradise: Islamic View
*_Those who will be punished in the Hereafter despite being believers..._*
According to the belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'at, no believer will remain in Hell forever like the disbelievers. According to the narration of the Hadith, there are 34 categories of sinful Muslims who will suffer the punishment of Hell for the crimes they committed in the beginning of the Hereafter, and then enter Paradise, God willing. Namely:—
1. Those who cause trouble to their neighbors (Sahih Muslim: 66).
2. Those who are arrogant (Sahih Muslim: 131).
3. Those who gossip (Sahih Muslim: 151).
4. Those who commit suicide (Sahih Bukhari: 5442).
5. Those who cut off ties of kinship (Sahih Bukhari: 5525).
6. Those who eat forbidden foods (Sunan al-Bayhaqi: 5520).
7. A person who gives alms.
8. A disobedient child.
9. A drunkard (Sunan an-Nasa'i: 5577).
10. A person who introduces others as his father (Sahih Bukhari: 6269).
11. One who learns knowledge for worldly purposes (Sunan Abu Dawud: 3179).
12. A person who denies fate (Ahmad: 6/441).
13. Astrologer.
14. A sorcerer (Musnad Ahmad).
15. A person in debt (Sunan an-Nasa'i: 1960).
16. A woman dressed as a man.
17. Apathetic to the irreligion of family members (Mustadrak al-Hakam: 226).
18. The one who disobeys the Messenger of Allah (Sahih Bukhari: 6737).
19. The one who deprives the heir of his property (Sunan Ibn Majah: 2694).
20. The adulterer.
21. The lying ruler.
22. The arrogant poor (Sahih Muslim: 107).
23. The one who wears clothes below the ankles.
24. The seller of goods by false oath (Sunan An-Nasa'i: 2563).
25. The woman who asks for divorce without reason (Tirmidhi: 1108).
26. The one who kills a non-Muslim who has a contract (Sahih Bukhari).
27. The one who unjustly appropriates the property of others (Sahih Muslim: 196).
28. The treacherous ruler (Bukhari: 6618).
29. A person who uses black ink without henna on his beard and hair (Sunan Abu Dawud: 4212).
30. A person who speaks obscenely.
31. A person who has a bad temper.
32. A person who speaks harshly (Abu Dawud: 4168).
33. A woman who is naked or half naked (Sahih Muslim-2128).
34. A person who worships to gain people's affection (Sahih Muslim: 3527).
